Feedback Process

During the Fall the Core Knowledge and Competencies draft will be shared with Professional Groups through conferences and meetings throughout the state. The Kent County group will put together a packet suggesting ways to elicit feedback on the draft and distribute them at the September state meeting. Feedback from these groups will be reviewed by the Kent County Consortium and used as the group completes the draft.

Focus groups of early childhood providers/teachers will be planned throughout the state during January and February. These meetings will be led by members of the State Core Knowledge Subgroup.

The state Core Knowledge Subgroup will review the feedback from the focus groups and work with the Kent County group to put together a final draft of to be presented at the MiAEYC conference in Grand Rapids in March.
