GRCC's LeLe Stewart still hurt and not dressed. The Raiders defeated Kirtland 77-63 last week on the 10th. Jillian Bowman had 18 points (of her game high 30) and 9 rebounds in the 2nd half for the Raiders who are now on a 4 game winning streak. Whitney Bonham, who had 29 and 13 reb. for KCC in the team's first meeting, was held to just 15 points on 5-17 shooting. The Raiders started the game shooting 6 for 7, but held just a 12-8 lead. With the game noded at 25 a piece, Sophomore Jenna Hite hit back to back 3's, and then after a Firebird 3, Hite hit her third in a row to put her team up 34-28. Kirtland used a 10-0 run to go up 38-36, but the Raiders scored the final 5 to end the half. GR's point guard, Rebecca Moore had 8 assists (but 5 turnovers) in the 1st half. She'd late foul out with 9:21 remaining in the game. The 2nd half started the same way as the 1st for the Raiders, making their first 6 shots (later making 10 of 11) and going up 55-42. Kirtland started 1 for 14 from the field and never threatened the rest of the game. The Raiders biggest lead was 18 (62-44 and 64-46). Kirtland's Bonham, Cruse, and Leslie failed to make a single field goal in the 2nd half, shooting 0 for 22.
