Office 2000 New Features

Description

This course serves as a quick reference to features added or improved since Office 97, and guides students through the transition process. Use and customize components of the interface common to all Office 2000 programs, this includes Office Assistant, and on-line Help (NACFAM CU 1, CU5, CU6, CU7, CU9).

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Work with adaptive menus and toolbars
  • Work with the new features in Word 2000, Excel 2000, and PowerPoint 2000 that will make it easier and faster to perform everyday tasks (NACFAM CU 1, CU5, CU6, CU7, CU9)
  • Learn new and improved features across the suite, including the Clipboard toolbar, ClipArt Gallery, and email tools (NACFAM CU9)
  • Complete basic Web authoring tasks in Office 2000 including saving, previewing and managing HTML files (NACFAM CU9)
  • Create Web documents in each Office 2000 program that take advantage of new features related to Web authoring (NACFAM CU 1, CU5, CU6, CU7, CU9)

Individuals who are making a transition from using Office 97 to Office 2000 and want to increase their comfort level during this transition.

Prerequisites

Comfortable working in the Windows 98 environment, familiarity in using an Internet browser such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator, and experience with Office 97 applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
