Excel 2000 Level 1

Description

Students will learn the fundamental skills required to create, update, manage and view data in Excel worksheets, as well as techniques for controlling the setup and appearance of their worksheets. This course meets Microsoft Proficiency Certification Guidelines.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Create a basic worksheet by entering text, values and formulas (NACFAM CU6, MM4)
  • Use Excel’s "built-in" functions to create formulas (NACFAM MM1, MM2, MM3)
  • Move and copy worksheet data by using shortcut menus, drag and drop editing and toolbar button
  • Use Excel’s Help feature
  • Use the Fill Series feature
  • Change and enhance the appearance of worksheet data by using a variety of formatting techniques
  • Use the Spell Check and Print Preview features to prepare a worksheet for printing
  • Use printing options
  • Combine data from multiple worksheets by creating 3-dimensional formulas
  • Use "Quick Graph" to create a vertical column chart
  • Save an Excel workbook as a Web page

Prerequisites

Participants in this course should have working experience with Windows 98, and understand basic concepts in working with a personal computer. No prior experience or knowledge of MS Excel is assumed.
