Description

Students will learn the skills and concepts necessary to create charts and use the data management capabilities of Excel 2000. This course meets Microsoft Proficiency Certification Guidelines.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Create charts that graphically represent worksheet data (NACFAM CU6, MM4)
  • Modify and customize worksheet charts
  • Modify embedded charts
  • Use the AutoFormat feature to enhance charts
  • Enhance worksheets and charts by using the drawing tools
  • Perform single level and multiple level sorting operations; use sorting options
  • Use the Data, Subtotals command
  • Use the AutoFilter feature to quickly locate information that meets specified conditions
  • Locate and manage information (in a list) that meets complex conditions by using the Advanced Filter feature; copy filtered data
  • Maintain a list by using the data form

Who Should Attend

Individuals who have a good working background with the basic operations and features of Excel 2000, and want to know how to represent data graphically and maintain and manage large lists of data.

Prerequisites

Participants in this course should have working experience with Windows 98, understand basic software and hardware concepts, understand how to format and work with data, create & edit formulas, use the menu system, and copy/move data.
