Excel 2000 Level 3

Description

Students will learn how to customize the Excel work area, how to create advanced formulas, pivot tables, file linking formulas and outlines, and analyze data using Goal Seek, Solver and Scenario Manager. This course meets Microsoft Proficiency Certification Guidelines.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Customize Excel work area by creating a custom toolbar, custom styles, and a template file. (NACFAM CU6, MM4)
  • Create a nested function; build advanced formulas using IF, VLOOKUP and IS functions; and use the Auditing feature.
  • Create and work with pivot tables.
  • Link cells and worksheets (within the same or different workbooks)
  • Consolidate and analyze data from more than one worksheet (NACFAM MM22)
  • Use Goal Seek, Solver, and Scenario Manager utilities.
  • Display and protect worksheet data, create worksheet comments, and create custom views.
  • Record, execute, and modify macros.

Prerequisites

Participants in this course should have taken Excel Level 1 and Level 2, and be comfortable working with formulas and functions, copying/moving data, and understand the concepts of sorting and filtering data.
