Description

This course covers advanced techniques in working with styles, creating forms and using form fields, creating and using templates, working with large documents, sharing documents, graphically enhancing documents, and preparing documents as Web pages. This course meets Microsoft Proficiency Certification Guidelines.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Use AutoFormat options, and linking styles (NACFAM CU5, CT7, CT8, CT9)
  • Learn advanced techniques for working with styles
  • Create and customize forms and templates
  • Enhance documents by using ClipArt, WordArt, and drawing toolbar (NACFAM CU9)
  • Manage long documents by adding a table of contents, and index, bookmarks, and cross-references
  • Create odd and even headers and footers
  • Manage document changes by creating different versions of a document, track document changes, add comments, and accept/reject changes
  • Prepare a document for an intranet by inserting hyperlinks, sound, a movie clip, and scrolling text into a web page

Individuals who have solid experience and application in using the intermediate features of Word 2000.

Prerequisites

Completion of Windows 98, Word 2000 Level 1 and Level 2, and know how to create styles, templates, and macros.
