Description

This fundamentals class will introduce symbols used in GD&T and how to apply them for complete product definition and functionality of the part.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Identify the components of a feature control frame. (NIMS Machining Skills - Level 1 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics #5; QS-9000 4.4.2.1)
  • Recognize primary, secondary, tertiary datum’s
  • Calculate maximum material condition
  • Calculate least material condition
  • Establish virtual condition
  • Calculate appropriate tolerances
