Blueprint Reading, Introduction

Description

This training session will give the participants the fundamental skills necessary to read and interpret blueprints. This class will use company-specific prints as well as other material.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Identify 8 line types found on blueprints (NACFAM BR1-2, BR8)
  • Identify 3 views of the blueprint (NACFAM BR11)
  • Locate a hole in two views (NACFAM BR1-14)
  • Identify overall part dimensions (NACFAM BR6, BR15)
  • Participate in print team exercises (NACFAM CT5)
  • Locate dimensional tolerances and calculate upper/lower limits (NACFAM BR6)

Who Should Attend

All personnel who need to recognize elements of blueprints for reference purposes.
