Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Execute calculations using Pascal’s Law (NCFAM MM3)
  • Execute working fluid power equations (NCFAM MM3)
  • Read schematics (NCFAM BR10-13)
  • Demonstrate trouble-shooting skills (NCFAM PS2, PS3, MF21,QA17)
  • Identify types of pumps, valves and accessories by reading schematics and physical components
  • Explain and mathematically execute system design criteria (ISO/QS 9000 4.4.1, 4.4.4)
  • Verbalize, list and understand all appropriate safety issues (NCFAM WH 1-20, MF10)

Recommendation

Contact Business & Technical Training at least 1 month in advance to set up a plant tour with the instructor. If the class is to be held on the customers site, some arrangements should be made to have lab or production equipment available.

Who Should Attend

All maintenance supervisors and/or personnel, field service representatives, and anyone moving into the fluid power design field.

Length

This course can be custom designed to occupy from 4 to 60 hours, depending on the customers’ needs.

Prerequisites

The successful attendee will be very comfortable with Algebraic Expressions using both numbers and units.  Basic blueprint reading skills are a plus.
