Injection Molding Material Handling & Systems Training

Description

This course is designed to give the participants an overview of both amorphous and semi-crystalline materials. A working knowledge of the equipment, tools and procedures for performing material changing in the molding environment is the focus throughout.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Perform material changes (NACFAM WS 13)
  • Clean and properly maintain grinders (NACFAM WS4, QA17)
  • Setup and start up of the drying process (NACFAM WS 13)
  • Exhibit proper safety during change over (NACFAM WH 1-20, MF10)
  • Exhibit time management skills for material handling shift scheduling (NACFAM WS21)

Prerequisites

Minimum of 6 months molding machine operation experience

Learning Environment

Classroom and lab activities. Students should be prepared to complete material change operations.
