Description

Training includes hands-on practice using both the English and metric measurement systems. Included are methods for taking and recording measurements as they apply to the inspection process.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Accurately read English and metric micrometers (NACFAM MM5-7, MM18)
  • Properly use dial and digital calipers (NACFAM MM10-16)
  • Use height gauges for layout and measurement (NACFAM MM10-16)
  • Set and read dial gauges (NACFAM MM10-16)

This class is intended for operators who will be responsible for the application of measurement systems requiring the taking of measurements.
