Injection Molding Change & Setup

Description

Injection Mold Change and Setup is designed to give the participants an overview of the setup process. It is designed to give them a level of comfort and the skills to perform this process, in the molding environment. 

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Perform mold pull and set procedures (NACFAM WS13)
  • Exhibit time management (NACFAM WS21)
  • Demonstrate proper clamping techniques
  • Input data for startup and process (NACFAM WS13)
  • Exhibit proper safety procedures during a mold change (NACFAM MF10)
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow work instructions for mold change procedures

Length

16 hours

Prerequisites

One year of injection molding machine operation or equivalent.

Learning Environment

Classroom and lab activities. Attendee should be prepared to pull, set and start molds.
