Description

This course is designed to continue to expand the participants knowledge of the injection molding process. The course topics can be tailored to meet specific company requirements for the operating personnel. 

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Exhibit an understanding of the injection process: fill, pack and hold (NACFAM WS4, WS13)
  • Start up and shut down the molding machine (NACFAM WS13)
  • Identify and remove defective products fromproduction (NACFAM QA2)
  • Identify molding grade materials by label information (NACFAM MF15)
  • Identify and explain mold components (NACFAM WS13)
  • Demonstrate the drying of hygroscopic materials and explain why we dry them (NACFAM MF15)
  • Exhibit safe practices on the machine and molds (NACFAM MF8, MF10, WH1-20)
