Curriculum Design & Development

Description

This workshop will allow participants to design a workshop or training class lesson plan. Feedback on effectiveness will be provided by the instructor and other workshop participants.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

• Determine constraints in course design including course length, cost, and deadlines
• Conduct learner analysis and identify techniques for dealing with diverse groups (NACFAM LS1)
• Identify, list and prioritize job tasks
• Link classroom training to job relevance
• Write learning objectives and strategies, design assessments and conduct post course follow-up
• Identify phases of instruction and select training methods
• Incorporate techniques that make courses fun, interesting, and lively
• Create lesson plans, handouts, and training manuals

Who Should Attend

This course is recommended for individuals who are new to training or trainers who have not had formal training in curriculum design and development.
