Adapting Your Listening Style

Description

This course focuses on the key element of good communication - listening. Participants will learn why adapting their own style of listening is critical to being clearly understood, as well as practical ways of accomplishing clear communication.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Establish their own preferred listening style
  • Recognize others listening preferences and utilize methods for adapting their style to improve the communication process (NACFAM CT5)
  • Identify barriers to communication (NACFAM CT9)

Who Should Attend

Any employee who needs to improve their communication skills. This course is particularly useful for work related teams enabling them to gain a common understanding of communication concepts in order to improve working relationships and productivity.
