Leading Effective Meetings

Description

This workshop focuses on recognizing when a meeting is the best way to generate new ideas and solutions. Participants learn how to plan, prepare and conduct an effective meeting. Methods for ensuring good follow-up and dealing with difficult participants will also be explored.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • List key communication principles (NACFAM CT5, 9, 13)
  • State characteristics of productive/non-productive meetings
  • Practice agenda writing
  • Use a meeting planner
  • Use effective feedback
  • Practice handling difficult meeting situations

Who Should Attend

Employees required to lead or participate in meetings regularly as a part of their job. This workshop emphasizes the contribution of all meeting participants not just the leader.
