Leading Work Teams

Description

A 12-hour overview which includes six hours of Working in Teams basic course, personality profile, which identifies four different work style compatibilities will be administered. Also covered is preparing, conducting and follow-up of effective meetings.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Identity benefits and pitfalls of working in teams (NACFAM CT1-5, 9-14)
  • Establish ground rules for teams
  • Define team roles—coach, leader, facilitator, recorder, member
  • Set team goals
  • List stages of team development—forming, norming, storming, producing, ending
  • Explain team decision making methods
  • Use team problem solving tools and techniques
  • Preparing and following an agenda
  • Keeping a meeting on track with different participants
