Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Description

Introduce participants to the FMEA process, inputs and outcomes, basics of the FMEA package, and practice in completing required forms and providing required data. Based on their own process and products, participants will complete a design or process FMEA.  The course will include QS 9000 requirements, or ISO/TS16949 of the FMEA Process.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

  • Produce a limited FMEA using provided manufacturing narrative (QS-9000 4.2.3.5, 4.4.2.1)
  • Create and process FMEAs using proper format and data (QS-9000 4.2.3.5, 4.4.2.1)
