Reliability & Maintainability

Description

Course introduces participants to the reliability and maintainability requirements now included in national quality management systems standards. Participants gain familiarity with the basics of probability, reliability terminology, maintainability, the standard mean-time and mean-cost evaluations values, the applications of multiple reliability methods (e.g. as may be required due to FMEA evaluations) that work on series and parallel schemes. Weibull reliability testing, as may apply to both product and process, are covered. In the last session, as time permits, advanced topics for R&M are covered. This course will also include QS 9000/TE supplement, probability, reliability, maintainability, and failure concepts.

Participant will be able to:

  • Apply reliability and maintainability requirements to tooling and machining projects (QS 9000 TE SUPPLEMENT)
