ISO/QS 9000 Calibration & Metrology

Description

This training session defines the requirements for testing accuracy, calibration of equipment, handling of equipment and documentation of checking procedures. The class has been designed to support the requirements of both ISO 9001, QS 9000 and ISO/TS16949. The class content includes identification, calibration and adjustment of equipment, documentation of calibration procedures and instructions, ensures required accuracy, and equipment identification and status record development. Also included is ensuring suitable environmental conditions as well as hands-on use and calibration of simple measuring tools.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

• Maintain, use and calibrate simple hand-held measuring tools (QS 9000 4.11)
• Follow the ISO 9000 based calibration management procedural requirements (QS 9000 4.11)

Who Should Attend

Those who have responsibility for maintaining a measurement system that complies with ISO 9000, QS-9000, TS/ISO16949 or other quality management system standards. Also, those who need a basic understanding of measurement using precision measuring devices.

4 hours of calibration and 4 hours of metrology (one day)
