ISO Management Responsibility Requirements

Description

A facilitated set of work sessions resulting in the management team’s development of their company’s strategic plan. This workshop assists in the required compliance with ISO/QS 9001 training requirements. The resulting planning process is dynamic and implementable.

Outcome Summary

Participant will be able to:

• Define the company’s planning process (ISO/QS 9001 4.1.4)
• Define the company’s mission, objectives, issues (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats)
• Develop strategies to meet the company’s mission and objectives
• Develop action plans to implement strategies
• Develop a measurement system to ensure continous improvement and feedback of the plan (ISO/QS 9001 4.1.5)

Recommendation

The facilitator should talk to company SME’s prior to initiating the activity to ensure appropriate customization. Management needs to be involved in developing and/or verifying the outcomes so they can provide full support and commitment to the activity. Management needs to participate to ensure effectiveness and implementation. Also, we have found it useful to consider the following when selecting attendees: function/business unit, level in the organization, and key implementers of the plan.
